Project Description
Carter Lumber is one of the nations largest lumber yards with over 160 locations. Carter was looking to bring a fresh look to their website and develop interactive tools such as a store locator, real-time estimators and a product quoting system. From initial concepts through development, OuterBox came up with solutions to convert website visitors into Carter customers. Through best website design and conversion optimization practices, Carter Lumber instantly grew both traffic and leads when the new website launched.
One of the main key points in development was integrating a mobile version of the website. Through responsive website design a mobile version was created which is managed by the same content management system as the main desktop version. The mobile version of the website allows customers to more easily navigate and find the content they're looking for.
Store Locator
Allowing visitors to find the nearest Carter Lumber with a quick search was a big initiative. By integrating Carter's location database and utilizing a zip code radius search, visitors can find all of the Carter locations in their area. Once their store is selected the website will also remember their "My Store" location for future visits.
Interactive Online Estimators
Whether a visitor is looking for a price on new cabinets or a new roof, Carter's interactive online estimators allow the visitor to get a price in real-time. By answering questions a quote is built, displayed and also emailed to the customer immediately. All estimates are saved and forwarded to the nearest Carter Lumber location in proximity to the potential customer.
